墨西哥，多拉达山区已经失去了往日的祥和与平静。 原来，这里发现了储量十分丰富的金矿。这一令人垂涎的消息刚传出，各式各样的淘金者发疯似地涌进了这一地区，同样，这一消息，也带来了抢夺、杀戮和血腥味! 庞乔，既是这一带横行乡里的恶霸，又是这里金矿的矿主，他养着一大批无赖和打手，他们按庞乔的旨意，横行霸道，谁发现了金矿就杀谁。然而，奇怪的事出现了；不管这帮恶棍在哪里横行，哪里便会突然出现一个蒙面人——蒙面神鹰!受害者也必能从教堂的神父那儿取回被夺去的东西!庞乔决意要消灭这位蒙面神鹰。 多拉达山区的治安恶化，引起了州长唐·阿尔代苗的重视，他决定除掉庞乔这头害群之马，可苦于势单力薄。于是，他向上级求援，上级立即派来了玛乌利肖·卡维郎上尉和艾利麦代奥中尉。 走马上任的玛乌利肖一到多拉达便接受了矿工利昂肖被害的案子。原来，矿工利昂肖发现了一个品位相当高的金矿，这件事被贪婪成性的庞乔知道了，他立即让酒吧舞女阿苏塞娜从工程师西蒙那里弄清了矿位、储量等情况，又派出打手从利昂肖的手中抢走了金矿图，随后将利昂肖杀害了。 金矿图一到手，庞乔和儿子海苏斯立即着手向州政府申请专利，哪知“克星”蒙面神鹰从天而降。外强中干的庞乔父子被神鹰的威力所慑服，眼看着到手的图纸又失去了，庞乔怎肯罢休?他立即派出密探暗中尾随蒙面神鹰。果然，这次又与往常一样，神鹰将金矿图送进了教堂。 第二天清晨，神父拿着这张图纸，替被害人利昂肖申请了专利。庞乔明白了，那位来无影去无踪的神鹰与这教堂神父有着十分密切的关系。于是，他决定首先从神父这儿开刀。 这天，庞乔手下的两个泼皮围着神父拳来脚去，逼他说出蒙面神鹰的真面目。一向规劝世人和平相处的神父忍无可忍，终于开了杀戒，将这两个歹徒狠狠地教训了一顿。正在这时，蒙面神鹰又突然出现了，歹徒连滚带爬地夺门而去。 庞乔决定利用玛乌利肖对付神鹰，同时又派人到处放风说:抢劫案的主谋是神鹰。一时，阴风四起，人们议论纷纷，就连州长也弄不清谁是凶手了。可是，玛乌利肖却沉着地告诉人们:事非曲直终会弄清，而且快了。 夜晚，阿尔代苗的庄园中，人们正身披节日的盛装载歌载舞，不一会，耀武扬威的庞乔来了，在他的身后，跟着儿子海苏斯和舞女阿苏塞娜。州长有点沉不住气了。原来，在筹备这场庆祝会时，庞乔便曾经和儿子冲进州长办事处企图抢文件，正巧碰上了来此调查情况的玛乌利肖，当时，庞乔很快被制服。但今天，州长有点不放心:玛乌利肖能对付穷凶极恶的庞乔吗?突然，外面传来了枪声和乱哄哄的嚷嚷声:“神鹰袭击办事处了!”玛乌利肖不慌不忙地跨上马，同艾利麦代奥直奔向出事地点。 不久，蒙面神鹰再次出现在人们的面前。急不可耐的庞乔立即指着神鹰吼道:“这人正是杀害利昂肖的凶手!”说罢立即吆喝手下上前动手。蒙面神鹰沉着地历数着庞乔的罪恶，色厉内荏的庞乔终于招架不住了。这时，艾利麦代奥已经将庞乔派去袭击办事处的坏蛋全部抓获。 面前的这位蒙面神鹰到底是谁呢?神鹰不慌不忙地除去了面具——啊，蒙面神鹰就是玛乌利肖，而舞女阿苏塞娜正是上级派来的密探! 玛乌利肖踏上了归途。多拉达山区又恢复了往日的祥和与平静……
